Thanks for the shout out, Alison! I just checked on the Renku, hoping others will join it as well. I've always loved it as a form: if you produce another one, I'm excited to add more.

One question: you mention a process journal but didn't get into specifics (unless I skimmed too quick). I'm interested: what does it look like? What kind of questions does it answer? How often do you add to it and is it before or after a writing session?

Hi James! You can even add to this renku, once a few others have... say if writers repeat/add every half dozen or so stanzas... :)

I checked in with the "Foundational series #3" post, on the keeping of a process journal, and realized it was a "paid members only"... I've re-released it for "everyone"... so take a look in a timely way. I'll be closing down June posts, for paid only, as I have earlier ones now. But I'll hold off.

Honestly, I'm finding this tough--re-leasing for paid folks and free folks and trying to figure out how not to feel mean-spirited and yet make an income! Argh. I prefer to be generous; it's a wrestle.

So for those who have missed it: https://diymfatheunschoolforwriters.substack.com/p/growing-with-a-process-journal-foundational

September: I always looked forward to it as much as I did the last day of school. Excited to learn, hustle and bustle of school - and then getting bogged down in routine. Always enjoyed the hustle and bustle around me. Would have enjoyed more "free range" learning. A combo.

So true... about the first day and the last! What they share.
