I want to shake up the poetry posts/discussions.

I’ve had more than one person let me know they feel that the posts centered on A Poet’s Craft are a bit too academic, and they’d love to see something… a little more Unschool. Length of post is part of that.

Not long ago, I asked when you’d like to have the newsletter dropped into your box, and the response was “mid-week.” So I’ve switched that up. (Yes? No? Hadn’t noticed?)

I suspect that shorter posts are in order. All of us have too little reading time. This post is 8 minutes. I’m going to focus on one aspect of the three chapters on “meter,” and I’ll share thoughts on how you might begin to practice this critical element—the sole element that makes poetry to be… not prose. (With a note on picturebook creating.)
