As of yesterday, I’m on the road.
A campervan is a new experience! I have wonderful childhood memories of the ubiquitous VW Westfalia packed to the pop-top with four kids, heading east to Kapuskasing, and south to Disneyland, Death Valley, and somewhere in Arizona to Dad’s cousin Stella who had a hand gun in her bedside table, rattlesnakes outside, and every morning a quarter inch of dust silted through the doors and windows.
But as an adult, all the stuff that happened magically—meals, dish washing—mostly propane managemant!—now needs explanation and trial-and-error.
And then there’s this! What does a writer do with this?
This traveling time will be dedicated to the Unschool, and working with my own writing, free of house-tasks. Let’s get to those editorial questions.
